Industrial scrubbers have played a critical role in ventilation systems for decades. These are among the few technologies capable of removing both particulate matter and gaseous impurities from industrial exhausts. With advancements in wet scrubbing technology, industries can now meet today’s rigorous environmental standards more effectively.
Activities like metal processing, chemical reactions, and material handling release pollutants—such as particulates and hazardous gases—into the air. Scrubbers help purify these emissions before they’re released into the atmosphere, contributing to a cleaner environment.
Wet scrubbers are highly effective air pollution control devices that remove particles and/or gases from industrial exhaust streams. Using a scrubbing liquid (typically water), pollutants are absorbed or trapped before being released into the atmosphere. These systems are ideal for combined particulate and gas removal.
VSBP™ offers a wide variety of wet scrubber systems, custom-designed to suit each unique application. Important variables such as flow rate, contaminant type, and concentration are evaluated to deliver optimized scrubbing performance.
A venturi scrubber works by narrowing the duct in which gas flows, where water is introduced. At the point of restriction, high gas velocity atomizes the water into fine droplets, allowing pollutants to be absorbed. The gas-water mixture is then separated in a cyclonic separator, with clean gas vented out and water recycled.
These systems are widely used across industries such as petroleum refining, chemical processing, acid manufacturing, and steel production.
